Who We Are

St. Max Kolbe your Old Catholic Church in Pasadena.  Our clergy are ordained by a bishop with an Apostolic Lineage that can be traced back to the first 12 Apostles.  If you are Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran, Orthodox or from other liturgical churches, we will look and sound familiar to you.

Sacraments

We celebrate the traditional Seven Sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, Anointing of the Sick and Holy Orders.

The sacraments are open to all.  The guestlist belongs to God.  We are but trusted servants of the Holy Blessed One.

As servants of God, we provide sacramentals, as well, from home blessings, coming-of-age rites to blessing objects for sacred use.

Progressive Inclusion

We are committed to inclusion.  Period.

That means that we do not place man-made barriers on reception of the sacraments, nor do we pick and choose to whom we minister.

We are fully LGBTQ+ affirming church in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley and we welcome diversity as a unifying facet of church life.  Come as you are and share yourself with this community.
