Our Work on Skid Row and the Hotel Cecil

At the Cecil, we’re all about showing up for the residents of the Hotel Cecil with compassion and practical support. Father Dylan is on-site multiple times a week, listening, advocating, and helping folks navigate the challenges of daily life. Whether it’s connecting residents with resources, offering spiritual support, or just being a consistent presence, we believe that dignity starts with knowing someone cares.

Beyond one-on-one support, we provide essential supplies like clothing and household items, help residents access services, and build a sense of community through outreach and life skills programs. Our work is rooted in respect—there’s no judgment, no agenda, just a commitment to walking alongside the people who call the Cecil home.

We also step in when residents face obstacles, whether that’s dealing with social services, navigating the justice system, or reuniting with family. Our goal is simple: to make sure no one at the Cecil has to face life’s struggles alone. If you’re looking for a way to make a real difference, become a Friend of the Cecil—whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word, every act of kindness helps.
