Franciscan Life

Are you called to serve the People of God?

Do you feel the call to serve?  You may be called to a vocation with the Church.  From vows as a lay member of our religious community to ordained ministry through the Apostolic Sacramental Church, the Chapel of St. Maximilian Kolbe can help you hear the answer.  Read on for more information on our Franciscan Community.

The Society of St. Maximilian Kolbe

The Society of Saint Maxmilian Kolbe is a lay organization following the charism of Sts. Francis and Claire.  As a community, we strive to serve those underserved, to help those in need come back to balance, to be the person they want to be.

Through acts of charity and kindness, to spiritual companioning, to being present with you on your journey, we meet you where you are.  We focus on the individual, without judgment.

Join us as we minister with love, walking on the journey as Christ does.

Friar Andre Maria, Hermit, Anchorite

Friar Andre Maria is a life professed priest, Franciscan friar and hermit. He is also deeply interspiritual. In addition to his priest ordination with the Apostolic Sacramental Church, he also holds ordinations as a swami within Sanātana Dharma (Hinduism) and Zen Buddhism. He also provides spiritual teaching and spiritual direction to members of each of these faith communities and traditions.

For several decades now, Friar Andre' Maria has also been recognized both nationally and internationally as an authority on men's issues, having previously gained experience in this area within the context of applied clinical psychology, in which he holds a Master's degree. He has also studied under the direction of poet and author Robert Bly, among others and as a student and member of the mythopoetic men's movement.
